  • I do not directly bill insurance and operate as an out-of-network provider. This allows me to focus fully on individualized care. Many clients are able to use their out-of-network benefits for partial or full reimbursement, depending on their plan.

It’s best to contact your insurance provider directly to inquire about the specifics of your coverage. The treatment codes you may need to reference are 90791 for the initial session, followed by 90834, 90837, or 90847 for ongoing sessions.

Upon request, I can provide a monthly receipt, called a superbill, which contains the necessary information for insurance claims. You can submit this to your insurer to seek reimbursement for counseling or therapy fees, depending on your plan’s coverage.

  • Yes. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial or full reimbursement. I provide a detailed superbill (receipt) that you can submit directly to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

To make this process easier, you can also use reimbursement processing apps that help streamline and submit out-of-network claims on your behalf.

  • Typically, you would pay for sessions at the time of service and then submit a claim to your insurance company for reimbursement. The amount reimbursed depends on your specific insurance plan and out-of-network coverage. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand your benefits.

    Questions to Consider:

    • Do I need a referral from my primary care physician for mental health services?

    • Do I have a deductible, and has it already been met?

    • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

    • How much will my insurance reimburse for out-of-network counseling?

    • How is my Protected Health Information (PHI) managed?

β–Έ Step 1: Check your benefits
Contact your insurance provider and ask about out-of-network mental health coverage, reimbursement rates, and any deductible requirements.

β–Έ Step 2: Pay for your session
Payment is due at the time of service. You can use your preferred payment method.

    β–Έ Step 3: Receive a superbill
You will receive a monthly superbill containing all necessary details for insurance submission.

β–Έ Step 4: Submit your claim
Submit your superbill through your insurance portal or by mail. You may also use Reimbursify to streamline and submit claims electronically.

    β–Έ Step 5: Receive reimbursement
If eligible, your insurance provider will reimburse you directly according to your benefits plan.

  • I understand that therapy is an important investment. If cost is a concern, I encourage you to explore your out-of-network benefits or use tools that simplify reimbursement. I’m also happy to provide guidance on navigating the process so it feels more manageable.

Therapy is a meaningful investment in your life, well-being, relationships, and future. This practice is intentionally structured as a solo private office to prioritize your time, privacy, and individual needs. Unlike large, tech-driven therapy companies, this practice focuses on providing a personalized, one-on-one experience tailored specifically to your unique goals and challenges. By keeping the practice small and focused, I’m able to offer a level of care and attention that cannot be replicated in a larger corporate setting.

That being said, I’m committed to making therapy as accessible and affordable as possible.

Services may be covered in part or fully through your employer’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP). If your organization offers an EAP, you may be able to access a set number of sessions at no cost to you.

You can also use funds from a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for therapy services.

In addition, I offer sliding scale payment options to help reduce financial barriers and support continued access to care.

If your employer’s HR or EAP coordinator would like to add my license information to their provider network, I’m happy to provide the necessary details upon request.

  • I offer a number of sliding scale spots to help make therapy more accessible. If cost is a concern, I encourage you to reach out so we can discuss current availability and options.
